America Didn’t Choose This War — Trump Did
Donald Trump ordered airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites just days after Israel launched its own assault. Iran didn’t hit back at Israel. It hit back at us. That’s not by accident. Trump took a foreign conflict and made it our fight. He dragged the United States into a war that we did not start, did not debate, and did not need to be in.
Let’s get something straight. Iran did not attack the United States first. The United States bombed Iranian territory after Israel did. This wasn’t a defensive act. It was an aggressive show of force, coordinated with a foreign government, without any approval from Congress or the American people.
Now Iran has fired missiles at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and struck locations in Iraq housing U.S. forces. It doesn’t matter if the Pentagon calls this “limited engagement.” We are in a state of war. American troops have been attacked. Planes have been moved. Airspace has been shut down. Iran and the United States are now exchanging military actions.
And we didn’t end up here because of Democrats. We didn’t end up here because of a rogue state. We ended up here because Donald Trump made the decision to take Israel’s war and make it America’s problem.
Republicans are cheering this on. The MAGA base is standing behind him. These are the same people who say they believe in America First, but they’re fine with sending our soldiers into another conflict in the Middle East because Netanyahu asked for it.
If even one U.S. service member dies in this conflict, the blood is on Trump’s hands. The responsibility belongs to every Republican who backed this, and every voter who thought this man deserved a second shot at power.
There is no public evidence of an imminent Iranian threat. There was no indication Iran was about to launch a nuclear weapon. There was no public intelligence proving danger to U.S. citizens or allies. Just orders to bomb, followed by retaliation.
This isn’t strategy. It’s blind loyalty to another nation’s war plan. It’s escalation without justification. And it’s proof that the people who shouted about swamp creatures and endless wars never meant it. They just wanted their guy to be the one pulling the trigger.
Elections have consequences. This war is one of them.
